“Invisalign” The number one rated clear teeth straightener solution for patients worldwide.
Everyone wants straight teeth but no one wants a mouth full of metal. Invisalign teeth aligners are clear, removable braces that straighten your teeth without the discomfort, inconvenience and unsightliness of metal braces. With Invisalign, you don’t have to avoid eating certain foods or smiling for the camera on special occasions. No longer do you have to choose between straighter teeth or years of a metal-braced smile.
Invisalign consists of clear teeth aligner trays that can be used for both children and adult patients and are custom-made to fit each patient’s mouth. The aligners are made from a smooth, comfortable and non-toxic plastic that won’t irritate your mouth or gums. Wearing these aligners regularly over the course of your treatment plan (typically a 12-month period) will gradually shift your teeth into place to achieve a nice, straight smile.
What Issues Can Be Addressed with Invisalign?
- Gaps between teeth
- Overly crowded teeth
- Open bite (upper and lower teeth don’t meet with a closed bite)
- Crossbite (upper and lower jaws are misaligned)
What are Some Benefits of Invisalign?
- Clear, invisible design
- Custom-made to fit your mouth for maximum comfort
- Removable trays for easy cleaning
- No food restrictions, as trays can be removed while eating
- Quick results, with treatment typically lasting a year or less
What Does the Invisalign Treatment Entail?
To create your custom-made aligners, Dr. Bittner will use your X-rays, pictures of your teeth and an impression of your bite to create a digital 3D image showing how your teeth should look following surgery. This image will be used by the Dr. to create a treatment plan for you, and will be used by our dental laboratory to create your custom aligners.
Invisalign aligners should be worn throughout each day of your treatment plan to achieve the best results. While in place, the aligners are comfortable and barely noticeable, and you can go about your daily routine uninterrupted. Your aligners can be easily removed when you want to eat, brush or floss your teeth, or to clean the aligners themselves.
Your Invisalign treatment plan will include a new set of aligners about every two weeks; these new aligners will advance your treatment as they subtly and gently shift your teeth to form a straighter smile. A typical Invisalign treatment plan lasts approximately 12 months or less, depending on the degree of straightening needed.
Is Invisalign Right for You?
A smile with teeth that are properly aligned with one another not only makes you look better but can also prevent oral health risks like tooth decay and gum disease. Metal braces may be an option to achieve straight teeth, but who wants to commit to months or years of mouth sores and cuts as a result of painful metal brackets? Invisalign teeth aligners are more comfortable and also more hygienic, since the underlying teeth (along with the removable aligners themselves) can be more carefully cleaned than when wearing metal braces.
